Indeed, these beautiful, truly handcrafted solid wood instruments by one of this country's finest, most experienced luthiers regularly out perform entry level concert instruments costing substantially more. "I could easily play on one of these in recital!" a number of skeptical visiting international concert artists have exclaimed after auditioning a Vazquez Rubio Estudio Mode guitar: large open sound, wide color palette, broad dynamic range, comfortable neck contour and easy action set up, good separation, accurate intonation, signed label. In sum, we have yet to play a smoother, more musical, more elegant sounding guitar for the money.
