Guillermo Rubio - the cousin of the great American luithier, German Vazquez Rubio - has in the last year developed into an impressive maker in his own right. The individually handcrafted classical guitar offered here is a case in point: unusually large dynamic range - warm, round, very focused, even sound - comfortable neck contour, low easy action set up, lovely traditional visual aestheics, attractive materials and crisp clean workmanship.
