Overview: Shown here from this great Spanish master's golden period is a rare, vintage 1966 spruce/CSA concert guitar in exceptional near mint condition (no scratches, dings, or cracks repaired or un-repaired). The magnificent deep sound of this iconic instrument recalls the musical attributes of a miniature organ: Clear; powerful; perfectly balanced in all registers; exceptional - separation, dynamic contrast great and small, harmonic blending, and lyrical sustain. Strong fundamental tones throughout this instrument's tonal range make for excellent projection in a concert hall. Andres Segovia and John Williams were among a number of concert artists to perform on spruce top Fleta guitars. Many thanks to Rosewood Guitar for their gracious help in making this acquisition possible.
Materials: CSA sides and back, European spruce soundboard, ebony fingerboard, French polish of shellac finish, Fustero tuning machine heads, 650mm string length. Included with this guitar is its original hard shell case, original bill of sale from Sophocles Papas' Washington D.C. Guitar Shop, and the original purchaser's cancelled check.
